Thanks for visiting our web site. Nature’s Retreat is a venture that has been a long time in the making. Actually you can say it started way back in the 1800’s when the Hall and Mitten families settled on a ridge top in Western Holmes County.
But really it began ten years ago when my wife and I decided to show our two young children this great country of ours. A ten-year odyssey began. We decided we would cover and show our children all of the lower 48 states. Tens of thousands of miles later not only did we cover the lower 48, but also spent time in 3 Canadian Provinces. During our travels we visited many of our Natural Parks, spent time in small towns and large cities, and met many interesting Americans. Along the way our faith in this great country of ours has been renewed. Not only is America a great nation, but also Americans, in general, are good decent people. As we traveled ideas began to sprout.
Ideas about starting a business that would share our unique home environment with people like us whom love to travel, love nature, or just love to get away. So Nature’s Retreat was born.
